DeepSeek vs ChatGPT for marketing: which is better?
For marketing, I would choose ChatGPT. Here is why:

- Better for visual brands. Hospitality, real estate and aesthetics businesses need images as much as words. DeepSeek does not create images.
- Research and analysis. ChatGPT can analyse your ad results or a spreadsheet of leads and turn them into clear next steps.

DeepSeek is very good at structured thinking, such as planning a campaign, outlining an article or working through a pricing problem. If budget is tight, it is a strong free option for text-only work.

Because of this, a number of governments and public bodies have restricted its use on official devices, and Italy’s data protection authority blocked the DeepSeek app in 2025.
My advice is simple. Whichever tool you use, never paste in client personal data, contracts, passwords or confidential figures. Use AI for ideas, drafts and structure, and keep sensitive information out of it.
